Agenda and papers for APCM

Saturday 25 April 10 a.m. at Willesborough Church

Dear Parishioners

We are looking forward to seeing as many of you as possible at our Annual Parochial Church Meeting on Saturday 25 April 10 a.m. at Willesborough Church.  The meeting will be followed by a light lunch and time for conversation together.

At the meeting, we will be electing our Churchwardens, PCC representatives and Deanery Synod representatives and receiving the formal reports from 2025 including the Annual Report and Financial Statements.  We will also be hearing celebration reports from all our churches, reflecting on the highlights of 2025 across our Parish.

During the APCM the Team Rector will be updating us on the way ahead for the Parish following the consultation in January, including recruitment of staff to support that.  Do come along to hear more about these exciting plans.

The Team Rector will also be updating us on his own next steps - those of you in church on Sunday will have heard his announcement:

'After a thorough appointments process, Jeremy Worthen, our Team Rector, has been invited by the Bishop of Sheffield to become the Canon Chancellor at Sheffield Cathedral, where he will oversee the education department as well as supporting the work around arts and heritage. Additionally, he will play an important role alongside colleagues in seeking a secure financial future for the Cathedral. His appointment is subject to the usual checks, but the intention is for there to be a service of installation on Sunday 13th September at 4.00pm.’

So lots of reasons to come along on Saturday!  We really hope you will join us.

Best wishes

Sally Lees

PCC Secretary
