Christmas with us
Come and join us at St Mary's this Christmas!

Christmas is such a special time, and we have some special services at St Mary's over the Christmas season to help us celebrate together and remember the story that's at the heart of it all.

Advent Sunday marks the beginning of our preparations for Christmas in the church. This year it falls on 30th November, and as well as our regular 10am service, there is a service at 4pm with specially chosen music from the choir as well as readings and hymns.

On Sunday 21st December, we're having our Carol Service at 5pm with a special joint choir from across the parish singing to us and plenty of opportunities as well to join in with traditional carols, as we hear the story of Christmas.

On Christmas Eve, our Christingle Service at 4pm is a great way to share the Christmas story with the whole family. Designed with children especially in mind, it includes a nativity play as well as the distribution and lighting of 'Christingles' that you can then take home with you.

Our Midnight Communion service on Christmas Eve starts at 11pm, but by the time you leave it will be Christmas day. A moving way to begin the celebrations together in our ancient building.

And of course all are very welcome on Christmas morning at 8am or 10 am.
