Christmas with us
Come and join us at St Mary's this Christmas!

Christmas is such a special time, and we have some special services at St Mary's over the Christmas season to help us celebrate together and remember the story that's at the heart of it all.

Advent Sunday marks the beginning of our preparations for Christmas in the church. This year it falls on 27 November, and as well as our regular 9.30 a.m. service, there is a service at 4 p.m. with specially chosen music from the choir as well as readings and hymns.

On Sunday 18th December, we're having our Carol Service, with a special joint choir from across the parish singing to us and plenty of opportunities as well to join in with traditional carols, as we hear the story of Christmas.

On Christmas Eve, our Christingle Service at 4 p.m. is a great way to share the Christmas story with the whole family. Designed with children especially in mind, it includes a nativity play as well as the distribution and lighting of 'Christingles' that you can then take home with you.

Our Midnight Communion service on Christmas Eve starts at 11 p.m., but by the time you leave it will be Christmas day. A moving way to begin the celebrations together in our ancient building.

And of course all are very welcome on Christmas morning at 9.30 a.m.
